Improper Bostonian - Fall Dining Issue!

If you haven't checked out the current Improper yet, then you haven't seen my photos used for a feature story, in which Linh, one of the writers, gets the lowdown on pickling from a chef at Hungry Mother in Cambridge.

It was a cool story to shoot, and you can view a PDF of the spread by clicking the image below. (If you're at all into pickling, the bread and butter ones were delicious, you should totally take advantage of the included recipe!)



Also, I got to shoot some bright, fun and rather cool portraits of Chef Instructor Connal McCullough at Le Cordon Bleu in Cambridge, but the piece they were accompanying didn't end up running. I like them too much to let them sit around on a hard drive, so I'm sharing them here!

Wedding - Erica & Zak

Got to shoot a wedding for Erica & Zak yesterday at the Habitat Sanctuary in Belmont.

There was a cool old house, a garden, and the grounds were absolutely gorgeous! Perfect spot for a low-key, good humored wedding ceremony and barbecue. In addition to the quickest ceremony I've ever seen, it was one of the first sunny days we've had around here in a while, which made for some nice photos.

Congrats to both of them!

Cross Country Road Trip!

So from August 25th until September 5th, I finally got to remedy the fact that I've never been further west than Minnesota! A friend of mine got a job at Apple in California, and I tagged along to help him drive out there. I know... summer road trip, really cliche... but it was an awesome time and I have some kickass photos!

However, I shot a wedding my first full day back and launched right into a full week with Improper, so it'll be a bit before those images appear anywhere.

I've really been digging quirky and distinct spaces with a lot of character lately, as well as the details within those spaces.

It's a more quiet, low-key, observation type photography than I'm used to, but I'm really liking the results...

Senior Portraits!

Summer is here again (albeit brief this year) which means it's senior portrait time!
Just went to Portsmouth, NH to shoot with Mara and despite it being a really really hot day, she was a total trooper.

I think this was the first shoot I've ever had that ended when everyone was just too sweaty and thirsty to keep shooting. You wouldn't be able to tell from the pictures though!

Wedding - Ange & Matt

Went home this past weekend for my fiancée's sister's wedding.
It was held at Fox Point Park in Newington, NH, and the casual outdoor setting made for a really nice afternoon.

Delicious food, lots of friends and - most importantly - great natural light!
